How I shoot:
There are a few big things that are important here:
Comfortability, Communication + Trust.
Being comfortable around me is crucial because if you’re not, you’ll be able to see it in the photos and heck, as a human, I want to make sure you’re comfortable enough to be yourself and vice versa. Open communication is important and I want to be a safe space for you. Nothing offends me so if I’m shooting and there’s a pose you don’t want to do or you want to do something, just tell me! It’s okay! This is where trust comes in- being a professional, you need to trust me to do my job and what I need to do to get it done. You can trust me that I always try to do my best and am always learning and growing as a human.
Movement is key!
Every single couple or person is different. I could tell a hundred people to do the same thing and everyone will do something slightly different which is a GOOD thing! I don’t like statue, stand still poses- there is a time and a place like family photos when I line everyone up and yell “cheese”(not actually) but for the most part, just no . What I do is I’ll guide you through a prompt like bear hugs, lifting and spinning, or tell you to look over yonder and think about your partner. I’m capturing those little in between moments that make you authentically you. Those little things that make you sparkle. I want you to do things that feel right. Which is another thing that makes everyone different. I try to get a feel for how you and your partner interact and think of prompts or set you up how I think feels the most natural to the two of you. If you’re not a touchy couple, I’m not gonna make you constantly kiss each other or hold each other, or if you’re a more silly, goofy couple, I’m not gonna ask you to do mostly serious prompts. Sure, maybe one or two but it won’t be the overall feel or gist of your gallery. We want to keep you comfy.
Picking something that holds a place in your heart.
This might pertain more to engagement sessions or other life’s milestone sessions but, I still think it’s important. I think anyone can go take a decent photo in a pretty place. What I want to do is capture something that feels real to you, that sparks joy, that when you look back at your photos, it’ll bring up other happy memories and the reason why you picked that place or activity. It can be anything- going out for a drink, walking your dog, cooking together, going to the beach, riding motorcycles, painting, or even hanging out watching movies.

You’ve kindly stalked my website, clicked around, went over to social media and hopefully follow me on there to get a feel of how I work, and the type of person I am. (I’d like to think I’m funny.) Once you've done that, fill out the contact form below!
The Coffee Date
...or if it’s been a week, we can have an alcohol date too. We’ll chat about life, our goals, being a person, and well, mostly about you and your wedding.I want to know your love story, your meet cute, what you do as a couple.. I want to know alllll the things! All your ideas and I mean all of them, even if they seem silly or small. We’ll most likely go over a loose timeline and the things you want captured verses the things that may not be as important to you on your day.
After you’ve given me all of the information and ideas about your wedding, I’ll put together a customized proposal.
The Contract
We’ve met, we’re both feeling it, I’m in your price range and available for your date- time to sign on the dotted line! I’ll send over your contract to look over and sign! I do ask for a retainer which,we probably would have gone over at this point, this is when you send it. The retainer holds your date and ensures I’m available for YOU. Other inquiries for your day, I pass them along to other photographers.
The Engagement Photos
The Every package comes with a complimentary engagement session. These are important because it’s like a trial run. You see how I shoot and I get to see how the two of you interact. We can try out prompts or movements that we may recreate on your wedding day but you’ll be experts at that point when time is of the essence.
In the Meantime
Between the engagement session and your big day, we’ll keep in touch to make sure we’re on the same page. I’ll be available for any questions you may have or even any decisions if you need help and want another opinion. Closer to your date, we’ll finalize your timeline, family photo list and make sure everything works so your day goes as smoothly as it can!
The Big Day!
My second shooter and I will show up early, get a feel of the place and the energy in the room and get to work! My goal is to capture the day exactly how it is, as it unfolds, the emotion, the raw moments, the candids. One of the most crucial skills that you gain with years of experience is anticipation and being able to tune in or read the room. It’s the art of noticing. Don’t get me wrong- I will also try to keep things on track when I need to and help whenever I can!
After the Party!
I will send a sneak peek of your wedding day with in 72 hours! Generally, it’s the next day unless I have another wedding or am traveling, or ya know- kids. It takes about 8 weeks for you to receive your full edited online gallery and another week or two to receive your custom usb with all of your wedding images and engagement session uploaded on it in the mail!
